How to Map Kontrol F1 with Ableton Live???

Hi,

This is probably a very basic question, but does anybody know how i set up a Kontrol F1 to use with Ableton Live as a midi controller? I’ve been on the NI site and it’s as vague as it could possibly be… apparently you have to press buttons in a certain order to enter midi mode, but it did not specify which buttons to press!

Also, once it’s in midi mode, how do i set up Ableton’s preferences? It doesn’t appear to be as straight forward as previous midi controller’s. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you want to use it for finger drumming and such you’ll need to change the pads messages from CC to Notes (starting at C1) using the standalone Controller Manager app and enable TRACK In/Outs in Ableton’s preferences.
