How to protect your notebook
Hey everybody,
how do your protect your notebook when playing in a club? Are there any foils or something you can lay on top of the keyboard or screen? Like a condom for the notebook 
Looking forward to your help 
I’ve seen such transparent or colored keyboard overlays at Frys and similar places with lots of stuff, maybe even up on Amazon.
Rain coat, wellies and a garbage bag should protect all of your gear. Or, become a bigger DJ and play on a 20 ft podium.
And buy safety hooks instead 
Anyhoo’s … Guess you mean like this one I picked up today after I replaced my keyboard for the second time in 3 years due to oil, humidity, and general crap from 12+ hr per day use that made some of my keys unresponsive.
It cost me around $1 and is simply a flat silicone skin that sits over the keys, I have had the ones that fit over the keys before but just couldn’t type/code efficiently on it, this one is so thin its barely noticeable*.
I wouldnt be arsed covering the screen up in a club gig TBH … if a dj box is that badly protected or has a dodgy crowd where a laptop is likely to get drinks spilled on it I’d bring CD’s.
