I’m often driving and hear a song that I want to remember but im driving and can’t write it down. (I guess you could if it was that good) Today while I was driving i realized that my Incredible 2 has an app that tells me what song is playing (Sound Hound) and it also saves all songs. I thought I would share this wisdom.
+1 on Shazam - sometimes trips over on odd remixes, but it’s amazing some of the stuff it does get
Nice open mind you have there - in the UK at least you can still pick up the odd diamond in the rough on the radio.
You really have turned into one of the most remarkably negative people on here - I reckon 90% of the posts I see from you are bashing someone - have you really got that little going on in your life that you are forced to get your kicks belittling others?
I cannot say how much I despise radio programming these days…just horrible.
Soundhound is an ace app, though. Shazam never IDed anything for me, but Soundhound regularly impresses me.
yeah, skip the top40 stations obviously (unless that’s your deal). but you can catch awesome stuff on some of the smaller local stations, classic rock, jazz, blues, edm, experimental, hiphop you name it.
have discovered countless pieces of gold in my collection by listening to the radio and watching tv. you don’t get deep eclectic crates without keeping your ears open to everything out there.
anyways i usually just try to remember a piece of the lyrics or the title so i can google it later to find the song. if i have a pen handy i’ll write it down.
in the UK you can often ‘Listen again’ to shows that were on, don’t know what its like in the states, more often than not they have a playlist aswell, day time radio is dog muck over here, but the night shows are pretty good
