How to sound like Tom Flynn

hi, bit of a noobie here but here goes…I am obsessed with the music Tom Flynn makes, man is like a machine for making dancefloor bombs. but i just can’t seem to get my mixes sound as good as his. Does anyone know what he is using to get his tracks so warm? I read in interviews with him that he uses outboard gear but he never really says what.

also on one of his latest track “do you like bass” i cant tell if it is a live bass playing or a synth? can’t get my bass to sound as good as his. :rage:

:tada: omg he is on here? i saw he posts sometimes in forums. he is a total gear nerd. i want to know how he gets his sound so big and chunky?? maybe Tom himself can answer if he is here?
i know he uses outboard gear but i wonder what?

there is no preset for your bass vst, that you could simply throw in and sound like his professional productions. It may takes years of practice to make a solid production. As Tom said, just do your thing and work hard on it. maybe someday he will ask here how to sound like you :wink:
