How to use modifiers and values in traktor pro??
need help with how to use the modifiers and its value…!!
It depend on what you need to achieve.
lets see..the scratch on the jog wheel,adding efx to be controled by my external mixer and last but not least..the use of the crossfader.So, what i basicly want is to have much control of my external mix than to have to use the functions on the laptop
Which controller do you use? Did you try to dl any mappings that are already on net?
i have the numark mixdeck quad…not quite understanding the whole modifier and value part
Value 0 is state of modifier when it’s disabled (LED off) and other values 1-7 obviously enables modifier (LED on) and give seven different states to map with whatever you use that modifier for.
Add in modifier #1 / set type of controller to button / set interaction mode to hold / set value to be 1
I’ll give you basic example with only two values 0 and 1 as Shift button. map it to any button just to better understand when values are switching. Look for little slots in controller manager window, it should be seven of it each for one modifier… So check first slot and hold your modifier button - value should be switched to 1 as long as you hold button. On release value switch back to 0.
When you make your first shift I can tell you about toggle for band/scratch button.
how would i control the effects on my mixer opposed to the laptop??
I can show you bit if you really want to learn about modifier values and for mixer’s onboard effects check manual.. I think you can’t use those is midi.
