HP Envy 15 Beats w/ Traktor LE = Uh…

Apparently, it comes with an Audio 2 which is bundled with Traktor LE. In the very beginning of the Traktor LE video, it’s showing someone playing on an Arcade Edition.

so overpriced. not worth it at all. plus the guy in the video makes me hate them.

Overpriced like crazy. Get a macbook or macbook pro for that price.

Yeah, seriously. If I’m gonna spend $1500 on a laptop, I’m not getting a PC.

so i can hook up the audio 2 dj to my computer and then hook my headphones to the audio 2 and i will hear better sound ?

Then probably yes. I’m going to bet the A to D converters (drivers) in the audio 2 are better than the ones in your laptop.

Ermm… ok problems with this bundle:
1500$ price tag gets you:
Traktor LE: which costs the same (pretty sure) to upgrade as Traktor 3 LE, which you would get anyways if you bought an Audio 2.
Audio 2: Costs 100$ right?
Beats by Dr. Dre: Those cans cost about 200$ and from what I’ve heard they’re not worth it.

Ok so 1500$ gets you about 1500$ of stuff… but still, 1300$ for a windows laptop? That just seems pretty damn steep. Although apparently if you upgrade to i7 processor (god knows how much more that will be) you can get USB 3.0 (bout damn time USB 3.0 arrived)…

Still think it’s not worth it overall.

It goes a bit deeper than bitrate, although that is a good foundation to start with. I’ve had better quality 192 VBR than 320 CBR from Beatport. You’d be surprised how little people master their own productions.

your fucking ridiculous shades? as well as the overpriced shite laptop?

Those beats are sooo unnecessarily huge. I hope no serious producer has actually bought either, though I did see Fred Falke wearing a pair of Beats in a youtube vid in his home studio :S

they’re really comfy ill give them that. super soft padding (which makes me ask how long it’ll last) but the sound is so coloured
