I wonder if the scroll wheel outputs midi? would be good to assign that to the transport controls in Cubase (Rewind/FF through a track, etc)

Hmmm this would be semi useful if I go with my 2 pad controller/mixer set up I want to. I was wondering what I would do for what little bit I did need a jog wheel. Not that I think this is quality, but it might work.
i was hoping it would be a useful controller for the purpose of minimizing the “checking email effect” that laptop djing has on the djs appearance/physical performance.
Couldn’t they just have added “check my mailbox”-button into the mouse?

Would have been better with a tracking ball somewhere on it in my opinion so it doesn’t so much like your using a mouse.
Also because its a mouse it takes up more room than a tracking ball would.

This seems like they just added a jogwheel on a gaming mouse design.If you look at it that way theres lots of stuff you could use.The g13 has a programmable lcd screen and a bunch of buttons.Theyre like keyboard keys but 1ms response and you can macro them (just as good as a bunch of arcade buttons).But that mouse is nothing new if your into gaming.At home i use my Tarrantula keyboard with macro’s for some cool stuff in tracktor.

Yes, that is possible and not so difficult to do (own display-plugins).
I own a G15-Keyboard which has the same LCD-screen and helped making a display plugin to show J.River Media Centers playlist.
