pretty knew to the whole electro scene. I like generally most stuff I dont have a specific style I prefer yet

Do you mean electro house specifically? It sounds like you are unsure of the genre you are into. Kind of reminds me kind of those people who still call EDM “techno” lol.

Also, there really is no must buy on beatport…I mean that’s kinda the point of DJing right? Playing what you like? At least if you are doing it as a hobby.

Open up the released in the last seven days section. Spend way to much time going through crap until you find $10 worth of good music that, if your lucky, no one has ever heard of. Do a mix, share it with your friends and feel the awesome feeling that comes with introducing someone to something new.

I also like to start with the DJ charts and then, when I find something I like, look for other stuff by that artist & on that label.

Unavoidable, but often good fun too.

Yeah make sure you follow labels that the artists you like are on. Chances are they’ll sign other artists you’ll like as well.

I’ve found all my gems “the hard way”. Rarely check the DJ charts.

If you want a good deal on some dubstep try “Get darker presents:This is Dubstep 3” it was less than 10 bucks when I picked it up and it had 38 tracks. More than a few bangers in there too!!!
