i dont understand how you cant like A&H products
even if you dont like them u gotta have love for there build qaulity
out of all the stuff i have owned A&H are up there
and there analog mixers ar 2nd to none.
stuff i dont like is numarks gear, all ways seams cheaply made even the higher end stuff
just feels like your drunk making out with a hot chick the more you play the more you sober up to find out shes a dog,and you make it out the bedroom window as fast as you can
Don’t like the way they look, find the controls fiddly and the layout cluttered. And I don’t like their silly little jog wheels. I’d much rather have a Pioneer mixer in front of me! I know the build quality is great.
Not a fan of Stanton. Had a mixer quit on me mid set one time. Ever since then I been like fuck Stanton. I’m sure they have some decent gear but you won’t catch me rockin it.
Gemini springs immediately to mind b/c my friend and I had a Gemini mixer that quit on us during our weekly gig at a local bar way back in 2000 (wow-that hurts). Ill never forgive Gemini. Never.
I do not like how they look, and need some knowledge curve to use proper. But in the otherhand i love how they perform and sound and always requested as par of my rig. Even myself own a 4d.
I do not like Numark and Behringer
Really? I quite like Gemini, not sure about them now, I havnt used Gemini in years since getting used to Pioneer, but back in day (2001) I used to have a Gemini PS626 mixer. Man that thing was solid! We killed that mixer for years and it never let us down once. those were the good old days.
Man, I hate Technics. They make ugly unreliable equipment that sounds terrible and is fiddly. Screw that analog crap with sturdy faders and bits that don’t snap off after a year. I mean…
Seriously, what would you suggest is a better make of mixer than A&H? Are there any other brands that will work as good as new after eight years?! They are a proud company of the Republic of Cornwall.
I know they have good build quality, but so does pioneer! hence the DJM series being the industry standard for years! I just prefer the clear layout of pioneers (and indeed Ranes) to A&H stuff.
I dunno, I love my Allen and Heath mixer, it is built like a damn tank and it sounds amazing. The filter is the absolute bomb too. I still think the 42/92 are the two best 4 channel DJ style mixers that I have ever used.
I will admit that the feature list is rather spartan, the input select buttons on the 42 are very oddly placed right above the gain knob, no pan (but then again I’ve seen only a few club PA’s that real stereo), no input matrix like on some other mixers and only having a x/y assign for the crossfader is a bit screwy but despite all the quirks I still love my 42.
I have seen countless broken DJMs and barely ever seen a broken A&H, that right there says it all to me.
