I keep getting blue balled :(

I keep getting blue balled :disappointed:

Tried getting tickets to see gemini (dubstep) in november: ticketmaster sold me the wrong tickets to a folk band called gemini, no refund

Was going to see rusko this past monday: a minute after I leave my house the show gets sold out

Finally grabbed some tickets to see mord fustang tonight, had a great lineup that had a few progressive house (fav. genre) dj’s as well as electro house so basically house music from 8pm to 130am: show got cancelled

How bad of luck is this? I’m starting to think that the whole edm/rave scene is all a big conspiracy.

Avoid the casinos mate.

Whoa, yeah that sucks :disappointed:

Could be worse, you could actually be getting blue-balled.

Shit happens, and you’ll go to other things :stuck_out_tongue: At least you didn’t end up going to a show for a particular headliner, and then that headliner doesn’t even show up. That’s more infuriating to me than not going to a show at all.

Also, at least personally, I tend to stay away from a lot of those ā€œbiggerā€ events, and focus more on the ā€œlocalā€ stuff being put around. The local events tend to be cheaper, pretty decent with good crews backing them, and it’s a great networking opportunity.

Touche

Yea that’s true, the only problem is that in the area that I live in only dubstep is really played and not that I hate dubstep but it’s not my genre of choice. I think the more clubby, house type music is only at the 21 and over bars which I can’t get into yet so I’m somewhat out of luck. Though I’ve been asking around and there is some trance shows which I’d be interested in seeing but I think those aren’t around until spring.

Not sure if I’m helping by writing this but Gemini was the worst performance that I paid more then €10 for.

He had the brilliant idea of playing a lot of other tracks (e.g. Warp 1.9) that were good, but more fitting at a house party then an event that is advertised as dubstep only, that will have more then likely only dubstep fans in the crowd. Boggles my mind.

He 's a good producer but his mixing was ā€œnot too shabbyā€ at the most, especially if the other dudes like Koan Sound and AKS were making mash ups on the fly and cutting back and forth all the time, now that was crazy.

But hey, just my two cents.

Never take it seriously. Just a coincidence.. Better luck next time!

Thanks for the input man, he’s actually coming by in the next couple weeks but I don’t plan on seeing him.
