I lost a friend and a dj!

Last week I lost a dear friend of mine! Derek. Aka Dj FretC great guy, great friend and a great dj! I have known him since I was 15 years old!
Last week while driving home from a gig, Derek was hit by a drunk driver! Ironically the drunk driver was coming home from the same club, which Derek was spinning that night! He survived the impact, taken to the nearest hospital and shortly pronounced dead! His family was devastated, and still can’t believe that Derek is gone! He was only 25! I hope the drunk driver gets what’s coming to him, according to the police report his alcohol level was four times the legal limit! The F*&^ing guy was plastered!

I have decided to collect some funds to help Derek’s family with the funeral expenses, and his 3 year old baby boy! I have asked from friends and family and now I’m asking the DJ community at DJTechtools!
Not asking for much, but if you have experienced or know someone who has lost a loved one, due to some drunk bastard, (who walked out scratch free, I can’t believe that sh&t)!

Terribly sorry to hear it, man. I lost a friend back in June to a drunk driver as well. I feel your pain… :disappointed:

As cheesy as it sounds, my heart goes out to you and your buddy’s friends and family.

Sorry 'bout the loss man. This kinda sh.. gets me in a bad mood everytime.
(Especially since I’m almost straight edge when going out)

Man I hate people who drive under the influence (of any substances). My condolences to you and the family.
