**I love my S2 ā€¦ Itā€™s gonna be a great summer!** Iā€™ve had the S2 for about a month and half. Never _really_ DJā€™ed before in my life ā€¦ Background in production. Got an opportunity ā€¦ 5 shows down ā€¦ Iā€™ve made $1000 ā€¦ Minus plenty of initial costs ā€¦ But got it locked and gaining momentum. All summer. 1 night a week (Thursdays) ā€¦ Hoping to find another, bigger $$$ venue for Fridays or Saturdays. This little beach town is loving the ā€œcontrollerismā€!! And harmonic mixing. AND my SYNC button _for the haters_! Iā€™ve met some awesome people and its just getting started! Gonna be fun! Stay focused, guys! You can do it! ![lab2.jpg](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex001/uploads/techtools/original/3X/7/d/7df6c6053050cbf423102afadc1a7ffa260ea6f6.jpeg) ---

Congrats. Dont get overconfident tho. I know that Ft Walton/Destin area well, and lets just say that you dont need to have conquered the art of DJā€™n to get gigs. šŸ˜›! Alright, so thats my reality check for u (just incase you were in need of it). I love that area tho, should be fun ---

> [@manchild](#): > > Congrats. Dont get overconfident tho. I know that Ft Walton/Destin area well, and lets just say that you dont need to have conquered the art of DJā€™n to get gigs. šŸ˜›! Haha! Thanks! I need that type of energy! I like here alot. I live in Destin. But the gig is actually on Pensacola Beach. A much more unpredictable crowd than Nighttown .. AJā€™s .. the spots around here. My goal is to grab something regular Downtown Pensacola this summer ā€¦ And hopefully something here in Destin as well. Weā€™ll see. So far so good! Iā€™m getting a good response and not a whole lot of competition (as far as ā€œcontrolleristsā€ go) from the neighboring venues on the boardwalk. ā€œI ainā€™t went this hard since I was 18!ā€ - Drake ---
