I do applaud your guts to expose yourself like that. I’m a musician, performer and DJ since 15 years back and I would still feel very uncomfortable putting my intimate home dj sessions up. However, I do realize I and many with me need to get over ourselves and just do it.

Dont worry lol i see all my mistakes, there were ALOT of errors. Thing is that i had about an hour to make the video cause my friend was going home for the weekend, so i basicly just plugged in my vci and did it.
Oh I’m just teasing. I was inspired by you, so… I made one as well. No practice, just plugged it in and got into it. I realized that when recording video suddenly you become self conscious and careful.
I’ll post it in a few minutes.
MY 10 minute MIX
Okey, here is my thing. It’s 10 minute long, improvised and you will probably find it pretty boring to watch. I’m not very much into trixies and flixies… I will a little bit more creative be once I settle down with Traktor Pro and the VCI 100 but I mostly use loops, EQs and filters.
LoLz… If you think your mixing is boring to watch, I will never ever post a mix of mine.
But you achieved the impossible… You managed to spin a tune I hate more than Rihanna tracks… :eek:

btw, the table you’re using, doesnt it feel a little low? from the looks of it you seem like a tall guy. I think my back would hurt if my vestax was lower than elbow height? I duno thats just me.
Oh no, elbow height is to high. it was just a short session, when I’m rocking for a few hours I put something under to raise it at least 20 cm, that’s perfect.

Heh thats straight. Yea i hate how i get all self conscious as soon as i knew the the video is recording. I was surprised my mix at 4:30 actualy was pretty damn close to perfect for being under “pressure”
Just watched your video too, All your mixes are solid! makes me want to do a slower set for my next video…thing is i listen to to much EDM. I was digging the A milli mix. Only thing i would change would be to crank the volume up right when it comes in solo.

I lost all my music + ableton live files with that hard drive crash(i mentioned this about a week ago in another thread), that ontop of the upgrade to traktor and the upgrade of my OS to vista(I needed the named midi driver support) has my setup in peices at the moment.
Its fair to say most of you guys have a cooler setup than Bento at the moment
Ive been pretty much building alot of stuff from scratch for the last week now so the only thing i have to show is the assignements on my midi figther i have done. So not quite appropriate for a 10 min mix no doubt i will get a progress video of what i have been up to. To be honest i havent even got audio routing set up at the moment, the jackdmp files are still sitting on my desktop.
Which brings up an idea, seeings how i am starting from scratch maybe i should video log my progress as i go along - hows that sound ? My sisters boyfriend should be able to sort me out with a camera seeings how he does movie editing for a living.
Gah! Backups! hard drives a cheap now a days!
You should definatly make a video log of rebuilding though, i would def be interested.
Well it died in between formatting to reinstall the new OS- so it was my backup drive :\
