I need beta-testers…

I’ve got a little piece of software that i made, and i need just a few beta testers to make sure everything works right. The program is really simple, but can be a lot of help to lots and lots of people.

Requirements:

  1. Must have a Window’s computer. (The mac guys don’t need this anyway)
  2. Must have ANY version of traktor.
  3. Must have a controller with LED feedback.
  4. Be willing to waste a few minutes to help test this out.
  5. Must not say anything until official release. (Hoping for a blog post)

The program is an .exe file made with MAX. Your beta will come as a zipped folder including: the program, and all support files for the standalone version of the max runtime. If you have Max 5 already that’s nice, but since i wan’t this to be available to everyone, i would like all testers to use the standalone version.

Anybody who is interested can simply respond with any questions. Or send me a PM. You could send me an e-mail, but i check this site more than my e-mail anyway.

Thank you very much.

Edit: This software requires Midi Yoke by Midi-OX, which is free and can be downloaded from here…

You might as well download it anyway, since it is extremely useful.

i’m up for some testing. i’m assuming it’s something to with crispy sound when leds come on?

PM on the way.

Oke, i’m up too! Only i use LoopBe1, it’s like Yoke working under Vista :stuck_out_tongue:

MidiYoke works on 7, i wonder why not vista…
Oh well, PM on the way.

I did not get MidiYoke to work on 7 so I installed LoopBe1, as long as that device was active in the device manager it screwed my VCI up in Traktor though but it’s easy to just enable or disable it when needed.

You have to disable UAC (User Account Control) in order to install it on 7.

Are you interested in beta testing?

I have plenty of things which light up - ddm4000, lpd8, some X1s. If your app works with loopbe1 on vista I can give a hand (or maybe I’ll just clone my new, freshly stabilized xp partition before and go with that..)

Try it with loopbe4.
PM on the way.

i would be interested in this, but what is it? im kinda busy now, so weather or not i do it depends on what it is

It’s a mysterious device, that may or may-not fix the glitch’s and crackles caused when using features such as “Send Monitor State” to activate leds with a windows machine.

oh, i dont have any problems with that so i couldnt tell you if anything was fixed. sorry

Oh please sign me up!
I’d love to turn my APC on like it deserves.

PM on the way.

Had it working on Vista as well?

Just a matter of turning off UAC.

That’s probably why it worked for my in Vista. (Turning UAC off was one of the first things I did. )

Any word from the testers. I’m really interested to see if this is effective on systems other than mine.

should be able to get back to you today
