I produced a bassy track for 9 hours yesternight and woke up all dizzy
Has this happened to anyone else?
This is the second time I sit all evening with a bass heavy track and wake up feeling hungover like hell with my head spinning all over the room. My guess is the constant bass has messed with the balance membranes in my ears…
when I’m playing around with bassy tracks, I get a headache sometimes. But usually its not when I’m working on a full song, but instead on a specific bass line (which means looping for hours on end hahaha).
hipnotikkkkkkkkkkkk yeah me as well but I guess my tinnitus could play a part in it… as well my uber sensitive hearing. It’s gone now though so I can return to refining the bass
Actually I’m using a for the price more than OK 2.1 set for like $120 so no monitors and no cans… I’m aiming for the KRK RP8s for next month tho so that’s gonna change
Koss Plugs work nicely for a good while but my old Sennheiser HD-212 headphones hurt after just 15-30 minutes…
some people are more sensitive than others and their ears will start playing tricks on not only hearing but other bodily phenomena.
i wouldn’t be too alarmed, but definitely consider it as a prompt to be more kind to yourself.
i think we’ve all been in similar situations where we ignore bodily queues and work through it despite our personal safety and sanity ! haha
Yeah I actually did the same thing a couple weeks later and it happened again. I guess the constant bass messed with my inner ear and skewed my balance… felt weird, for a whole day as well
I don’t know man, sitting in front of a computer screen for so long will definitely mess with your balance. Last year I broke my leg and the first day I sat on my lappy for like 10 hours it felt like…Later that night I was having terrible vertigo, my eyes weren’t able to focus properly, so I went to my doc and he said staring that long does something to the eye that can affect balance etc. Said the trick is every 5 or so minutes to look around a bit , use the full rom to keep everything right
I work as a digital graphics artist and I make tracks in all my spare time so I guess not I sometimes even bring the laptop to my gfs so I can keep tweaking them filterz
