I took a stroll through some pawn shops in the hood today, just rescued this guy…
I won’t bore you with the details of how much I paid, I wouldn’t want the poor guys overseas to cry over it in jealousy- but it was a pretty damn good deal and I’ve never been able to pick up a M5G for anywhere close to what I just paid. This is actually the first M5G I have ever had reason to buy even when they were still being made.
It’s in pretty decent shape.
Now I have a dilema, hold onto it and sell my MK5s and find another M5G or just sell the M5G and keep my MK5s.
Well if I sell it I wouldn’t do anything to it (no point modding it or adding more LEDs since then whoever bought it would have a mismatched table). I’m trying to debate if I should try to track down another M5G and ditch my MK5s. On the one hand I think the black MK5s look a little better with the matte finish and the black tone arm components, but then again the M5Gs are cool and they have the added pitch. Either way I would probably make the same amount of cash in the end just selling my MK5s and tracking down a fair price on another m5g is more of a hassle.
You should get a mod to rename you to “Technicstacular” or “Techstacular” or some variation thereof -or at least get a special rank of “Technics shelter” instead of “Tech guru”.
Sure, you had a 4D, two 1Ds, you’ve probably had a 92 and you have a DB4 now (I’ve lost track), but the constant thing in your setup is a dj room filled with 1200s up to the ceiling
This was the first time i grabbed a table from a pawn shop though. I’m going to just start cold calling pawn shops in a 20 mile radius asking if they have any technics.
