It’s all about the money. My first gig DJing was for my best friends club that he opened in New Orleans. We spent 6-9 months prior to the opening promoting it. The amount of money that we spent just to get people in the door was insane and it went great for awhile, we ran into trouble from the Taxicab Bureau when we started using are own vans to bus people to and from the club into/out of the french quarter. The city made us stop that which even though it was only 6 block walk really killed the number of people coming and going.
