I was bored and drew up my dream Midi Mixer.

I got bored in calc and started doodling on my Folder. Came home and redrew what I had and made it all pretty.

Some of it is self explanatory. FX 1+2 in corners etc.., The big yellow and orange buttons are arcade buttons. Biggest thing to point out is no eq knobs. I don’t use them and this is MY dream controller. So to hell with them. :smiley: The 2 knobs would control filter and key. Loop recorder with the 4 small yellow buttons is right in the center. The 4 knobs above that go with the blue buttons to control loops. Top 3 knobs are for master, monitor, and cue levels. Bottom green wide buttons are play pause, and everything else is just good modifier buttons. :smiley: Not drawn to scale so some things are smashed together. Wanted to keep it all on a single 8.5x11. :smiley:

I would love if I could make my own custom midi controller. But It would probably end up costing just as much as an S4 and a midifighter. :smiley:

I posted about EQs a little earlier tonight. Part of your mixing style. I don’t use them. :slight_smile: Makes space for loop controls.

i dont use eq’s either. i am stuck with routing traktor into the bentosan smartmixer and my own low and hi pass filters in ableton. works like a charm.

just makes me totally incompetent over time to use any other setup than mine.

i feel if you aren’t lazy as me you could just use the filters too.

EQ’s + Filter = even more control of the sound IMO.

+1 but each to their own… I used to just either pump the bass or kill it then decided to take my production skills to my djing and now I have eq ocd … Its just never right :disappointed:

I understand EQs. It seems like it wouldn’t hurt to make room for another row of knobs. :slight_smile: But what do you mean by limited knobs for FX?

I didn’t start by looking at it. I started taking ideas for the loop recorder and size of the small circle buttons. :smiley:
