If you mix harmonically, this is good to know

Just in case anyone is just getting in to harmonic mixing and wants to learn a little bit more about how tempo changes things up…

I like MiK, it is helpful to arrange your songs, and tag them.

Surely this is kinda irrelevant cause i swear everybody enables keylock anyway ?

I stopped enabling keylock when i heard Francois K talk about it.

Where can I read about that Francois K thing ?

Photojojo sent it to me a long time ago…let me see if i can find it…the talk is about ripping vinyl but he goes into alot more and theorizes on sound quality and reproduction…

edit:

I just hit Francois K up for it…so we will see…

Keylock makes a lot of stuff sound like crap if you’re not careful with it.

Good info! I was wondering about this only this morning! I don’t use key lock and I use note values instead of key codes (as I play a proper instrument so it’s more natural to me) so this shouldn’t be too hard to implement!

Good stuff!

Stick to +/- 3% and don’t use keylock.

This sums it up quite nicely.
