illuminated rotary knobs questions
Just out of curiosity:
Has anyone here ever used these knobs in DIY (BCR2000 style, many others too)?
It would be what I’d like to use when I’d make a controller of my own.
anyone know where to buy?
how to install?
how to program?
etc.

I think he means APC40 style. Do you want endless encoders or normal pots?
The endless ones like in the APC40.

Unfortunately not many DIY solutions support endless encoders as of now. Plus you would need one with a lot of digital outputs to drive that many leds.
I did a pretty hardcore search for those LED rings and came up empty,

maybe Livid could sell some if you ask them. They don’t have it listed as a part on the shop, but they have a model which uses nice rotary pots with dynamic light ring - the Code
perhaps it’s worth to send an inquiry … or you could even design your own controller and they will build it for you.
The Livid brain should be able to manage these properly, I guess.
