im stoked.. im seeing carl cox, eric powell, de la soul tomorrow

As Carl & Eric live here in Melbourne, they have doing one off gigs at wineries here in Victoria every year for the last few years usually to raise money for a charity or cause…

They call these events Carl & Erics mobile disco and they usually play all their favourite jazz, soul, funk, hip hop, and early house tunes all afternoon and into the evening. This year De La Soul will be joining them for the day… (and Derrick Carter is in town, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he turned up as well - thats only my speculation tho as he played in Melbourne last night).

I’m super pumped, and hopefully the forecasted drizzly rain stays away as these events are normally outdoors!

First time I saw him was back in 98 spinning on 4 TT’s at a rave. :eek: Then he came back to SA a cpl of yrs ago which was also excellent.

yeah ive seen coxy a few times and he’s never disappointed.

i saw de la soul back in about 02 and they were sooo good. they played at one of the gatecrasher raves in melbourne in one of the side areas. i never even liked hiphop or gave it the time of day back then and they blew my mind.

I saw Carl Cox in Manchester 10 years ago. He blew me away, it was one of the best sets ive ever heard.

Seen De La Sou umpteen times and they never disappoint.

i just hope the weather will hold out.. theres 25km/h winds and rain till late afternoon apparently. should be good tho!

carl only lives about 30 mins from my house. :slight_smile:

Carl Cox is LEGEND… the best dj ever… well he has been voted many times the world number one in the past. but even with all the newer guys out on the scene he is still a consistent top performer. and just thinking about his big sweaty happy head makes me smile :slight_smile:
