Importing songs in Traktor

Hi, this is a n00b question.

Simply put, do I need to import any tunes if I am using all my songs from iTunes directly? Any way for Traktor to pre-analyze my tracks if they are being played straight from iTunes?

Also, when I start saving my beatgrids and cuepoints, will Traktor remember where they are if they are referencing to iTunes?

The absolute best way to play songs in Traktor is to import them to your collection. This doesn’t make a copy of them it just tells Traktor where in the iTunes library they are. Your losing some functionality by playing in itunes.

So would the best practice be to import my entire collection periodically?
