Installing downloaded .AU - Logic

I have acquired several packages in hopes of installing them on my machine (Logic).
I’m having some trouble, though.

I have, for instance, Korg Legacy Edition. The package came with a bunch of ZIP files, an NFO and a DIZ. I unzipped each ZIP file and found no clues.

I also have an Arturia Minimoog package that I would love to record with… it included a .BIN, a .CPGZ, a bunch of random files that say dyn-mm, a RAR, an .SFV, and an .NFO

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated as I have a gig coming up and need to make an intro.

Try buying them. You get a manual telling you how to install each one.

Maybe use your gig money to repay the loan for the software..?

yeah yeah, I would buy them if I planned on making money with them, not sure if i’m getting paid for this gig by the way, it’s very small.

No, you arent reading between the lines. Despite anyones personal views on stealing software, forums rules dont allow discussion of using cracked software.

You did admit that you “acquired” this stuff.

Ok, so this only works about half of the time so…
You’ll need a high powered electro-magnet. Now take said magnet and set it on your laptop/desktop for about an hour. Done. Now you’re ready to make some great tunes.

If this doesn’t work then i might suggest reading: start with the forum rules.

i think the “violative of any laws” covers that. the owner of a bb can get into shit if the offering the transfer of software illegally can be pinpointed.

this thread is a bit grey on that, but better safe than sorry.

Have a good look at the NFO files using word or notepad, they usually contain detailed installation instructions, Some vsts you can just paste straight into your plugin folder without installation, others you’ll need to install or mount in DAEmon if they are .iso’s
I Have the korg legacy collection myself and from memory it was fairly straight forward getting that installed.
Just for future reference tho man, we do try to avoid any discussions regarding cracked software in here mate. Peace :slight_smile:

I paid about $400 for the Korg Legacy Pack. It comes with a dongle that you have to use. Maybe if you try actually buying the software insteaad of stealing it you won’t have to ask these stupid n00b questions that you should be asking on some software pirating forum.
