Interesting Keyboard For Traktor and Serato
“With 430 LEDs the Luxeed is capable of individually lighting each key in your choice of color”
In theory you could color code the keys to specific functions.

thats pretty sick
fu… $129 for a keyboard.?
that ain’t nothing:
$2058
thats sexy buuuuut maybe tooo pricey
the cheap one and the optimus are quite different.
the cheap one is simply led’s
the optimus as a tiny little oled screen in every key, it was vapor ware for ever , and no is essential sootware hahah there was a few now, so back ordered you’ll never get one, they’re building another model to fill the backorders as the technology is far more available and cheaper then it was maybe close to 5-10 years ago when i heard about the optimus concept
microsoft however is working on somehting not yet in production which is essentially the optimus, but a single screen under the buttons, the buttons act as an overlay and the section of the screen where the button is changes, much cleaner, cheaper to produce,
i’m fucking hyped,
keyboard buttons suck though, unless you get one realy old,
Awesome post Rhombus. I wish it had real time feedback with the leds but I’m jus being over ambitious.
I hope someone in the near future makes a keyboard like the Razor switchblades.
It can changes the image behind the key accordingly to which game your playing (you can’t, they set them).
But if someone made a product like this, gave you the software that changed the layout/images when you execute different programs, you could imagine the usefulness of it.
i just mentioned that …
so here it is

I’d posted up donkeys ago about using Point of Sale programmable keyboards as dj tools.
Ok so they dont light up but they are not TOO expensive and you can keymap pretty much everything as a macro function in from your software… and print your own labels for the keys hehe.
The Tipro has the nicest tactile feel (arcade button feel!) & most robust but also the most expensive.
