I was waiting for someone to start this thread. My contract is up for renewal this month so I’ve been anticipating this. AT&T pushed all the 2010 renewal dates to this month so that really dosen’t matter. I think I’ll be reserving one next week for sure.
On a side note did anybody watch Jobs talk? He had to tell everybody to turn off their wifi because the 500 or so wifi devices in the room were overloading the network and he couldn’t load a webpage for the demo. I was following the live blog on three different sites. None of them turned their wifi off. 
It looks nice, but AT&T killed the data plan. $25 for 2GB data & $20 for Tethering. so heres the run down. $35 for 450 min, $20 Text, $25 Data (text should be included here) $25 tether = $105 w/o taxes. I have a iphone and it kills me that I get bad service here in L.A.

can’t understand why anyone would buy it given the limited plans att is now offering for data, but i dont have the apple bug
Why do all Apple vids make me want to buytheir product? I already have a 3gs so I think I will wait until this time next year and get the next upgrade. I shall have to satisfy my Apple cravings with a shiny new MBP in the meantime.
Very cool, but not for me. I’ll stick to my iPad and cheap ass Nokia…
But my friend who I watched that video with, has a stain in his pants and is trying to find out when they will be available here. To each their own.

i like the 720 dpi video recording only reason i have get one now, the only reason i ain’t got one yet cause i know its gonna be upgraded every year! and i don’t trust myself not to break it. might wait till next year see what they do with it!
You know your grandfathered in on the unlimited plan even if you get a new iPhone right? You can’t get tethering though without opting for the new 2 gb plan. IMO tethering on the AT&T network is a waste of money.
I think I’ll save money with the new data plans. Two of our three phones come in under the 200 mb limit for the $15 plan.
Facetime sounds like something you do to your girlfriend when she passes out drunk.
They are pushing people to jailbreak the phones. i want tethering for when im at my gigs and i need to buy a song off of itunes.

Still possible, just download it to the phone, then sync. Takes a bit longer, but I don’t see tethering to a slow ass connection worth my money. As soon as AT&T get their asses in gear and pushes the network to the 4’s limit, then maybe, cause the 4 in theory could d/l faster than on sprints 4g network. I don’t see this happening though, ever.
if you’ve got an iphone, dial *639# and hit call (this is the at&t number to check for plan upgrade availability). you should get a text shortly after saying:
“As a valued customer, we can offer you an upgrade with a new 2-yr commitment and an $18 upgrade fee.”
so basically if you’ve got the unlimited plan now, you can upgrade to the new unlimited plan for $18.. and a 2 yr commitment. but notice how it’s 2 years, and new iphone models come out each summer. yeah.
either way, looks dope.

still..these are all RUMORS. and these rumors have been going since 2008..
verizon’s 4G network is still in EARLY development.
every time a new iphone is about to come out people fire up the verizon rumor engine. the fact is, if apple went to verizon..at&t would drop them. there’s absolutely no reason for them to go to verizon, they’re making plenty of money the way things are. plus, verizon has android-based phones..there’s no way they’d get BOTH android-based and iphone.
