Is it possible to map the crossfader in this way?

Hello,

I really like the look of the new Numark DJ2go2 controller and want to use it with Traktor - would be great to stick in my bag for train journeys and holidays just so I can have a little mix..

I’m going to map the 2 faders on each side of the unit to be low and high EQ, and the pitch faders as up faders, and was hoping to make the crossfader into a fader for the mid EQ.

What I want to know is, could I map the cross fader so that it works in this way:

  • when the crossfader is all the way to the left, mids are at 12 o’clock on Deck A and 9 o’clock on Deck B
  • when the crossfader is in the middle, both mid EQs are at 12 o’clock
  • when the cross fader is on the right, Deck A is at 9 o’clock and Deck B is at 12 o’clock

It seems like an intuitive way to use the crossfader as a replacement for 2 mid EQs, but a quick look into the mapping section of traktor makes me think that doing this isn’t possible? Perhaps there’s a clever way this can be done with modifiers etc?

Many thanks!

Honestly - you couldn’t be more wrong if you tried.

Wrong in the sense that it isn’t intuitive?

Hey there, could this be your possible solution?

Ahh amazing! Exactly what I was after.. thanks so much for taking the time. The way the modifiers work is really interesting, kind of have to think laterally to get what you’re after?

Thanks

Sweet. I’m glad that worked :sunglasses:

Only problem with modifiers is that there aren’t more than 8 available. And only two conditionals, pfff…
