I want to learn how to scratch using the timecode vinyl controlling Traktor.
I have a pair of technics 1200.
where to begin?
(and yes I can manually beatmatch vinyl)

Check out the new turntablist thread right here at DJTT:
so I’ve got the basic technique, but found the stylus jumps.
I think I need an upgrade (later in the year when funds allow) from the Stanton 500II
does Stanton even exist anymore?
which are good for all round usage?
timecodes, scratching using timecodes, and used music vinyl.
traktor timecodes
You don’t need an upgrade.
You HAVEN’T got the basic technique.
You’ve been cutting for less than a week - there’s nothing wrong with your gear, you just need to learn to have a soft touch. The stylus is jumping because you are a beginner. Don’t worry. It happened to all of us!!!
Keep practicing, mate - even basic scratching ain’t easy! ![]()
