Is this a good logo?

So yeah, I worked on a logo for myself and this is the one that left me satisfied the most. It’s simple (black letters over white background) and the font shows that I’m more about having fun, than acting cool, without going into Comic Sans territory. (What’s up with the hate for Comic Sans anyway?) Also I tried to conjoin the F and the P with each other, but I already got one complaint, that the F kinda disappears, if you don’t know what that’s supposed to mean.
So…what do you think? (See attachment.)

I like it. Kinda looks like an old surf band logo. Something does need to change with the P and the F, but I couldn’t tell you what.

Yeah, the connected P & F seem to be a huge dealbreaker for many. I guess I have to seperate them.

Yeah, that looks cool, although I will probably round the bars of the F a little bit more.

Still need some fine tuning, but It’s getting closer IMO.

Yeah, those were all done by me. And yes, I’m still using VDJ. (Never got the prejudice against it anyway.)

ah cool. i used to rock with VDJ on the VCI 100se until i got the S4.
i dont understand why people mock VDJ as its a really cool piece of software and i miss the beatgrid effect :disappointed:

I think that logo’s getting close. You could use the PF thing by itself as a mini logo.

I was gonna say - just use the PF. (Which also happen to be my real-life initials)…

Yeah, having the PF as mini logo was my plan all along. :slight_smile: I also think I came up with a satisfying version.

Not that it means anything, but I’ve been a designer for about 10 years on a professional level. Take that for whatever it’s worth/not worth. The P now looks like an R. Go with a simple 2 letter version. Also, I’d suggest something other than the font you’re using. There’s nothing wrong with it per say, but I personally find it “goofy”. I prefer nice clean lines.

That’s exactly what I was going for. :slight_smile: Cool (acting) DJs and such logos are everywhere, but I’m all about having fun and goofing around. That’s probably not the most popular thing in the club these days (Especially not in Germany!), but that’s me. :slight_smile:
I also disagree about the R-looking P. I think the second bar from the F underneath, makes pretty clear what kind of letters they are. But thanks anyway, I seriously always appreciate it. (Otherwise I wouldn’t have asked.)
