Is your S4 power supply noisy?
Just wondering..
Mine is.
How do you mean noisy? Mine doesn’t make any sounds.
Well.. English is not my first language so i guess i’d be the worst at describing a noise.
But… Do you know the kind of noise some AC/DC transformers do? Or like speakers when the wiring is disturbed? That Zzzzzzzzzzz (…), basically.
It could be just the regular noise but i have a bunch of gear here and they don’t make such noise.
No buzzing here. Are you using surge protection?
run your laptop of the battery and see what happen, might be a silly ground loop noise… again.
But yeah my genuine PSU begun to be noisy (hum) last weekend, fortunately I always carry my spare one who didn’t make any hum. It’s one I bought from digikey
If you’re out of Canada/USA you may need a different prong adapter (No the original S4 one don’t fit)… there you go

It’s plugged to a furman on the rack which i’m pretty sure is protected.
But no matter where i plug it, it does the noise. Weird
By the way Photojojo, i’ve tried what you told me on the other thread (the s4 mapping mod for 4 fx units).. no luck

mine is very noisy too…
i hate its “buzzing” when i turn off the S4. In fact i have a switch on wich are plugged my stereo and the S4. If i don’t use them i always turn it off.
It’s so annoying…
My PSU makes noise also. I don’t know if we’re talking about the same thing though. Mine sounds more like a “hissing” sound, like air passing by, kind of like when you’re put air into tires. It’s subtle, but noticeable.
