It doesn’t get any easier than this

that plus sync = some angry turntable purists

Even with that I still separate myself from the people that buy the stuff that’s spoon fed to them by literally listening to hundreds (in one sitting) of just released tracks. When I’m done with that I’ll check staff picks and maybe a few DJ charts of DJ’s that don’t just pick their own songs, remixes, or label releases.

hm…now i only have to choose wich genre i´m going to be famous with djing! dayum!
any help would be appreciated.

crate sync? the question is: what do you do with the time that gives you?..

And which mixer/controller you should use to do it with and what headphones you should listen to it with and if you should do it on a mac or pc or should you do it with traktor or Serato.

There seems to me to be different types of djs. Wedding, radio, bedroom, club, etc… If I was a “pro” dj that normally plays top 40 at birthdays and proms, but was requested to play house that night, this kind of thing would be really useful. It may even broaden my taste in music and make it easier to filter to have it lumped together for me.
Personally I enjoy finding music, taking deep trips into the other people bought tangents, or digging thru SoundCloud to find unknown talent, but I am genre locked in purchases, and really only shop outside of drum and bass if a track really catches my ear.

Say what you want about Beatport doing this, but the hip hop/funk warm up list is top notch! I listened to the tech sets to and they weren’t bad music by any means. I added about 5 tracks out of everything I listened to to my crate, which is probably exactly what Beatport wants.

It slices, it dices, collect them and share with your friends…

No more guesswork!

Limited time offer, now get 3 instant DJ set packs of your choice for only $99.99 with the purchase of a new Traktor Konrol S4 or S2 DJ controller, complete with locked grids and mix in/out cue points.

Jokes aside there’s some good stuff in there, I like how they grouped some of the genres.

They’re trying to make money, and…well…they’ve realized that releasing something like 3,000 records/day makes it really hard to find music. Unless you spin a fairly narrow selection of music and have time to listen every day, you’re going to miss something.

They’re probably doing it so they can push tracks that got lost in huge release days…not in terms of popularity or label pressure…just in terms of “hey…this track was pretty good, but it got lot in the chafe because Toolroom released 500 tracks that day.”

I’ll definitely have a listen at some point…but I’m up at my GF’s house again while she’s at work…I have nothing to do for the next 5 hours but music.

Poor me…………

I must admit there are some awesome tracks in that list, some of which I downloaded today.

Well 26 tracks to be exact, not all of them from this though!

I’m on a Deep house binge at the moment so I was getting way to carried away in the Deep house section.

I’ve been doing lost of deep techy house lately as well.

I could talk about the DJ process getting easier all day, but as far as the House sets are concerned, there are some phenomenal tracks in there.
Speakers on. Complaints withheld.

is there a link to check out the other genres?

cant seem to find it on the site

ta,

just click the pic linked in the first post and you´ll see al genres

me too, the customers where i am are going mad for it, granted its mainly a commercial club, so ill drop the odd chart remix in here and there, but as long as they are enjoying it ill keep playing it.

The one cool thing about this is that it introduces me to styles that I normally wouldn’t mix. It’s a good way to hear some tracks that “work” so I can find stuff I want to use.
