It finally happened…
It finally happened…I waisted $1.49…
for the first time in my DJ career I bought the same track twice…less that 24 hours apart… ![]()
that’s mr. dumass to you…Atleast I don’t pay ten bucks a record anymore…

LOL, congrats on making it that far. I make sure to check my Traktor track collection before purchases. This however, has proven not to be failproof, at least not for me…
The real question is:
What song was it?
because i like you…
Been there, done that, got the duplicate.
(If it’s Beatport, why didn’t it flag you?)
Yeah I’ve done that, but never 24h apart?
You always gotta watch out for those damn re-releases though. $2.49 for a track you spent $1.49 on 3 months earlier.
Sick track
I hate it when tracks are re-released. What’s the reason behind it? Didn’t get enough recognition first time round? Artist is bigger now? The label trying to squeeze all it can from it?
just trying to catch a few more dollars I’m sure…You never know who played what record when and who heard it…
It’s usually on different labels, possibly an attempt to sell more in different markets/ cities. Sometimes they’re pretty old tracks that show up again years later. I always double check when buying new tracks, plus I want the album/ release to be the original, not from “Ibiza 2013 Closing Party - Mixed by Carl Cox” for example.
That used to bother me, but in my young DJ days there were only mixtapes and mix CDs. Plus I still listen to a shitload of live mixes and podcasts…So I like to kinda remind myself of where I heard it ![]()
Through iTunes compilations I have so many doubles… If a compilation is 9.99 for 20 songs, and I already have 3 of them, it’s still cheaper than buying the 17 I don’t have at 99 cents a piece ![]()
I’ve done this before… “Hey a new track by this artist I like! Oh, wait, this is a B-side from a single I bought 2 years ago” ![]()
Gorge does that to me aaaaaaalllll the time…
done this too. bought a remix of a track thinking i had the original already… -.-
I am always doing this, but as you say if the other 17 tracks still work out cheaper then everyone’s a winner. That said as much as like Dennis Ferrers - Touch the Sky do I actually need it 5 or 6 times cluttering up my hardrive.
Usually you can just contact the company you bought it from (Itunes, Beatport, etc…) and they can see that you bought it from them twice and they’ll return it for you.
Unless you bought from two different companies… then bummer dude ![]()
