(I've Had) The Time of My Life

(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life

Since I usually play to a crowd that likes to hear a brought range and who know each other well and therefore like to get a bit crazy on the dance floor I usually throw on “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” fairly late at night.

Usually a bunch of girls start dancing together, a few guys are happy that they can finally get close to the girl they have been hitting on all night and everybody is happy. Sometimes it feels like there might be room to follow this up with another similar track. I usually end up throwing some other track that allows slow dancing, but I wonder if there is another track that would be a natural follow up if the crowd seems to be up for more of the same.

Maybe not a slow tune but stick on Lionel Ritchie - ‘Dancing On The Ceiling’
They love it.

I have no soul left:disappointed:

Apparently… ahem… a friend of mine told me… ahem… these tunes go down well after time of my life…

Bill Withers - Lovely Day

Prince - Raspberry Baret

Swing Out Sister - Breakout

Elton John - Are you ready for love

George McCrae - Rock Your Baby

(secretly these tunes are all f*cking amazing)

Footloose!!!

People go nuts for this one, when the crowd is right.

“don’t stop me now, I’m having such a good time…”

“Who put on the Queen?”

Dolly Parton - 9 to 5

Both The Bangles - ‘Eternal Flame’ and Foreigner - ‘I Want to Know What Love Is’ mix well into D&B. That much I know.

+1!!!

bonnie tyler - i need a hero
george micheal - careless whisper
john bon jovi - bed of roses
aerosmith - don´t want to miss a thing
barry white - can´t get enough of your love baby
guns´n´roses - sweet child o´mine
prince - purple rain

Human League - Don’t you want me

It works extra well, with them both being duets.

this thread is now about a dj’s soft side.

And if you play the Derrick Carter remix (not really different just extends the end with a sync’ed beat) you can get into lots of 80’s house remixes, ie different gear vs police-World keeps running down, Eurythmics-Love is a Stranger(Coldcut Mix). You get the point. Smooth remixes of 80’s gems. There’s A TON of em out there.

I was beat juggling the intro to Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams over New Order - Blue Monday at my mates wedding on Saturday… people nearly lost their minds

lol!!! and the pic loaded really slowly too, like a slow reveal.

quality!

I am riding the groove backwards. the turntables are now diamonds.

Ladies look at your man, now look at my decks, now look at your man, now look at my decks.

This is what your man could smell like, if he stopped using generic brand mixers and started using PIONEER BRAND MIXERS.

I’m on a horse.

i think this song would go well

im kidding

the contours - do you love me

goes down a treat
