JBL LSR305 vs LSR308

I’m about to spring for some new speakers, and I would like something that can do double duty as both monitors and speakers I can use to mix the occasional DJ set.

The new JBL monitors have really caught my eye. Does anyone have any experience with them?

The 305 has a 5" woofer, so my concern is that it won’t be loud enough to mix with. If I could though, I would prefer the smaller speaker as space is tight.

Loudness won’t be an issue if it’s just for personal use. The woofer size affects bass response more than overall volume, so the 8" woofer will have a much stronger response at very low frequencies vs the 5".

Yeah, this will just be for when I’m mixing for myself, so I guess they don’t have to bee that loud.

I’m in Costa Rica, which doesn’t get the new toys until way after release, but trying to find somewhere to listen to these in person.
