Believe it or not, The Jersey Shore soundtrack is actually a pretty good collection of dance songs. I know Pauly D gets hated on because of his not so great DJ skills but check out these tracks. Alot of them you probally already heard. But it’s another indication that dance music is becoming more mainstream when MTV releases a CD like this one…

not surprised by the content of the Jersey Shore soundtrack, since the Jersey Shore area where the show had its genesis is all about house/dance/club music in the summer. I mean the whole way of summer life that the show is based on depends entirely on going out to hear house music. Let the proud (sometimes not so much…) tradition of Djais, Temps, Headliner, etc. live on!
The CD tracklist really doesnt surprise me at all. All very commercial tunes which was expected but could of been alot worse especailly being MTV. So did Pauly D produce this monster of a track or just put his lyrical mastermind to the test and create this classic to be?
Hell no, I hate that clown. He gives all us legit DJ’s a bad name. You know he had someone ghost-write and ghost-produce and ghost-mix that track… He doesn’t need any exposure. Except maybe negative.
Honestly, from the title of this thread I thought this had to be a joke, especially after the music I’ve heard so far on the show but I guess this really is the state of the music scene today. “What happened to the underground?”
i had that cd, it kicked ass. man people who missed that era don’t know what they’re missing…
got kids nowadays all grateful for something as bad as the jersey shore soundtrack, shiiiiiiit.
