Jog wheels
is there a mapping to turn your jog wheels into super knobs of sorts. i basically want to use them to control multiple effects at once. im sure there is a thread on this but im having trouble finding it.
Thanks for the help guys. ![]()

bummer.. im hoping for this
yes me too!!! Ean…you there? LOL we saw the S2 vid you cant hide from us!!! ![]()
It can be done by mapping the jogwheel to FX (slot *) parameter 1(, 2 and 3), and FX (slot *) on 1(,2 and 3). I think it’ll be best mapping them as direct.
Add your own slot of choice ![]()
Thanks poulet ill give it a shot and let you guys know how it turns out!
No problem man, hope it works! ![]()
You mean something like this? As you can tell Yul has the S4 completely re-mapped, but it does show that it is possible. He also made it so that jogs functions were still intact and were activated by the load button.
not sure if it works for traktor pro 2
The issue is that it is an imperfect solution mainly because it prevents you to use the copy mode and works only for a single layout (could do for different layouts but that would mean, different tsi and switch between them). It’s probably way more easier to do for the s2 where you won’t have as many states and layers as on the s4.
I’m quite curious about how NI will open the s4’s native mapping in the future and I’ll have a go eventually if something coherent is possible.

Not as easy as it seems as you have to duplicate all factors that can affect the jogwheel (and there are many, each one of them having interactions between themselves). It’s really complicated and almost impossible to set up with the current tools at our disposal.
You better start to do a full custom mapping to achieve this (but you’ll loose the loop lenght display and a lot of led feedback).
So, I left all that aside and I’ll wait for future improvements (I hope).
ps: as for the above link, it’s a lighter version of what I’m using (less presets mainly and I do use 4 fx units) but there’s no reason it wouldn’t work for T2. Just note it was made for a single specific layout and if you’re using the copy mode it will disrupt the mapping. So it’s no a really good solution frankly.
Or may be I missed the way to do it properly and one may find a solution to fix it, I don’t know.
I really hope NI gives the S4 the same capabilities as the S2 in regards to re-mapping thejogs etc, shouldnt be too hard I guess as they’re basically the same, just a software/firmwar upgrade?
I’m not that sure as the s4 uses layers (NI talked about an isio - or was it “asio” layer, cant’ remember the technical gibberish - that is almost not customizable by any mean with the controller manager) that the s2 doesn’t. But who knows, I hope too.
Another reason why I think the S4 will get a firmware update.
