so i finally went to ikea today to find stuff to make a dj booth… a few things that people recommended to get i couldn’t find so i had to use my imagination and get some thing similar. … hopefully it works.
i’ve been wanting to set up a small desk booth for awhile. i was thinking about getting one of those sefour or quiklok desk but those are pretty expensive. i had a small table set up @ my house but it was either use my turntables or put them away to use my cdjs and vise versa. but now we are getting our basement finished so i will have a lot of room.
i will start putting every thing together tomorrow. i need to go to my job and pick up some of my tools and stop off at home depot for some screws
yeh i’ve been thinking about it… i don’t think i’m gonna use the LACK shelf for a monitor stand. i’ll probably just go to guitar center and get a monitor stand. i’ll see if these EXPEDIT bookcases can handle all the weight.
screwed the odyssey lstand to the table. i forgot i had it b/c i hardly use it. it just felt so flimsy when i took it with me to gigs compared to the road ready stand i have. i returned all the LACK stuff to ikea. i will be getting the same stand for the denoncdj and still waiting on the monitor stand.
I love the knobs on the DDM4K where did you pick them up? Hope to see more pics when you get the whole room done What I wouldn’t give to have a blank room to work with. Me and my wife are going to be buying a house within the next year and my only stipulation for one is that it has a finished basement that I can have all my gear in.
I got the knobs from here. They fit fine but if you look at the picture of my mixer it looks like the blackline/knob indicator is at 25% but really it’s at 50%.
… hopefully it works.
