Just got my s4 and…

i’m really happy :sunglasses: it’s really powerfull and well integrate with TP2

I have to “easy” ( but not for me <.< ) questions

What i have to do to Kontrol effects with jogs ?

Is possible to map the sample banks to cue 5 to 8 ? if it’s possible how ?

im in work now and not near my s4, but if you have a look around the preffernces(i think its in the “DECKS” section) you should see an option to be able to switch the sample decks to cue points 5 - 8, no need for mapping.

regarding the jogs, i aint sure off the top of my head, but im sure its handy enough, and one of the other guys will be along shortly to help ya out :slight_smile:

As above (REALLY) and for the shortcut you can go in the preferences inside traktor, you’ll find an s4 tab, there you’ll find both options, one to control fx with the jogs, the other one to set up the sample play buttons for hotcues.

I secceeded in changing samples in hot cues but after reading 300 pag. of the guide i still have the jog problem

prefs > kontrol s4 > jog mode (or something like that) > effects

press the load button on a deck, push down and move the jog to change the 3º eddect parameter (or last fx on a chain)

Just done and it works now i can control only the 3rd fx ( i’m using 3 fx mode )

Just got mine and using it with the Traktor Pro 2 demo until the monkeys at NI send me my voucher to update to the new software. I don’t really feel like using those gray ugly waves or w/e color you can put them on the regular S4 soft… I don’t mind closing every 30 mins since I am just experimenting… hopefully tomorrow I get the new software.

What I am wonder is why people say the S4 soundcard sucks… I think its the absolute opposite here… I also got a Presonus Firebox, had a DJM909, a Xone 22, and ECLER Nuo5 and I found this sound card to be pretty clear and for some reason bassier… Oh well you always get complainers. Only complaint I got is that I feel a bit overwhelmed… I am trying to do tricks on the first day haha
