Boy this thing is tiny!!! I mean really tiny!!! Will test out tonight. See how it compares to the Audio 8 DJ I just Sold. Some notes, This feels like it doesnt weigh a thing. Also doesnt feel very sturdy as its made of plastic. Feels like it might break if I were to drop it once.
Shit homeboy,i got mines yesterday. i fuckin love it. Of course its my first sound card/ interface, but stilll.. it sounds amazing through the system. i keep it in a ziploc bag cuz its like a drug, Im hooked.
Mine is shipping, it’s gonna replace a Fast Track Pro, and for the price, I’ll just keep the one I like best and sell the other to a friend. Can’t wait to hear real reviews of the sound quality
No issues. Sounds great. Its actually VERY VERY small, however much i stress it you will still be amazed. Its smaller than my iPhone.
Draw back is that it weighs nothing so if your using one Output for headphones (Internal Mode on Traktor) you need to secure the headphone lead so that you dont pull the A2 . Even a kink in the headphone lead will make the A2 move about. I just put a piece of Gaffa on the headphone lead onto the surface of the booth.
You will see what i mean when you get it, its hard to explain.
As your on the latest version of PRO (assuming) you will have the A2 drivers installed so when i plug it in it was found by Traktor and setup in 2 minutes.
All the leads are supplied.
Couldnt ask for it to be better. Its plasticy but its not gonna be built like a Presonus Firebox for that price. It needs protection in the gig bag or it will get broken very quickly but the sheer size means i can put it in the box i put my PSUs in (its actually a sandwich box).
Sound wise i dont find it as ‘bright’ as the Firebox but then i dont find the Audio 8 as ‘bright’ as the Firebox. Headphone output (if used) is very loud.
Anyone looking for a small, quality soundcard for internal mixing mode should find all they need in this little box.
sounds like they just add one of those sucktion cup thingies to the device so that you can easily afix it to any flat surface. even to the side of a table. Karlos maybe can pass this along to NI. they never listen to me
They are male. The assumption is that they go straight into the average mixer.
Ive actually got a few female to female convertors to lengthen leads (or should that be male to male, depends on how you look at it). They come in quite handy.
i plan on using the A2DJ for an upcoming Halloween block party and i was planning on using my crappy Numark m20s - so female because i already have a long cable run with rca male ends that would go into the m20s …
but now i’ll probably just use a long balanced cable with a 1/4" jack to dual RCA adapter (with 1/4" turnarounds) directly to a spare kc-150 keyboard amp…
the joys of not having a proper live PA system… don’t do enough gigs to warrant one…
just got mine, with traktor pro installed, the driver 2.3.7 mac was already there. just plugged it in and played. I think it sounds way better than my FastTrackPro, but I’ll test it over the weekend. its about the size of a deck of cards.
Yep, gonna get one. To keep it in one place, I’m going get some of that velcro tape and have it so I can velcro it to the back of my VCI-100 - then it won’t get knocked on the floor.
