# Just purchased two X1's, trying to map in midi mode but can't change the global chann

**Just purchased two X1’s, trying to map in midi mode but can’t change the global chann**

As the title says, just purchased two X1’s and I’m trying to map them in Midi mode, but I can’t change the global channels. Tried my Google-Fu and came up empty, and tried looking on the NI site for some sort of editor and some and once again empty.

Any help is appreciated!

Put it in midi mode and add in a generic controller to the list.
