# Just read new blog post on why bed room DJ's don't get gigs.

**Just read new blog post on why bed room DJ’s don’t get gigs.**

Just read the article on why it’s so hard to get gigs. One thing that stuck out in the article was the part where everyone sounds generic. So here I ask the members to listen to one of my current mixes for this month, and judge and give feed back.

I don’ think it’s hard to get gigs if you:

- Network
- Get a group of buddies splitting the workload concerning promotion et rest
- Have someone doing promotion for you

And yes if you are unique if helps with the promotion.

Also, move out from DJ:intense cities into new markets.

PS: I listened to your mix, after three minutes I started ‘needle jumping’, sorry this is pretty much mainstream EDM. My ears glazed over.
