JWill FXPad (Launchpad) for Traktor 2 Need Testers
Hey guys,
I decided to make an all FX control mapping for those using the Novation launchpad to trigger effects but still using time code or other controllers for transport functions. Im looking for any and all feedback no matter what it may be. This is still in the development stages but has great potential for all in one FX masher!
JWILL FXPAD Beta:
Each 8X8 square represents an FX Unit
Full control over all 4 FX Units
2 Group FX Units (Top Quads)
2 Single FX Units (Bottom Quads)
Hold Modifier + Change Effect to switch
Launchpad is rotated so USB is on top
FUTURE ADDS/BUGS
-Wet/dry on single FX units, currently defaulted to .750 upon trigger.
-Add one effect chain in group with different Parameter Increments for offsetting effects
-Add toggle mode to one chain in group mode for multiple effects

My first short feedback after testing it for about 30 mins:
The first Button at deck C lights green and deck C is not working.
None of the buttons gives any feedback. Traktor gets a MIDI signal but nothing happens. The Rest is working fine!
The lower Sections (C&D) confuses me a bit. Maybe it’s more easy if you change the mapping the same way as A & B. The launchpad has too many buttons to push the wrong one at a gig If Music is a war, this mapping could be the easiest to use weapon to an epic win (with fancy lights)!
System: MAC OS X 10.5.8 / MacBook Pro / Traktor Pro 2.0.3
I just tested out this version on my mac all Decks work fine. The only deck buttons on this mapping are the outer circular pads allowing fx units 1-4 to turn on and off.
Make sure in your configuration that 4 decks are enabled and in your fx setting that allow 4 effects, 1,2 are group and 3,4 single or advanced.
In my other mappings I encorporated this feature, but this one will not include the instant gratification. I feel that it leaves sets too predetermined and you start to get boring with the same old tricks. This is open ended effect manipulation, harder but helps you create your own styles of remixing.
Your effect banks may be set to delay by default. All effects are changeable, the mapping has no predetermined effects.
