That whole thing was so dumb, as much as I’m more a fan of Kanye’s music than Taylor Swift (though that isn’t saying much), I lost so much respect for that man.
I’m surprised that there aren’t already more things like this.
Although I don’t agree with what he said and did, I have to say I give the man credit for having the balls to do these kinds of things. To me the more absurd part was hearing about all the celebrities throwing their “disses” up on Twitter. If you want to make a statement say it to aloud and to his face, not through ridiculous blogs and status updates on Twitter.

I don’t know if pop music has ever been so sad. At least back when guys like Marilyn Manson and Madonna were doing the shock-entertainer thing it was more to do with their musical content and less to do with making a complete ass of themselves. It’s just gotten pathetic now.
he should feel lucky he’s even in any kind of spotlight..maybe remember the days when no one wanted to sign him. now he’s putting down people (at the worst possible moment) that finally got a chance to get in that spotlight he wanted so bad…what a hypocrite.

It doesn’t take ‘balls’ to humiliate and upset a young 19 year old girl during her moment of glory, a moment every musician aspires to and she’s probably worked her ass off for at least a couple of years to get to. It just takes being a total c**t.
Yeah it probably all is some big messed up media stunt to grab a few headlines, and yeah we all know he’s a fool most of the time but all of his other ego trips have been largely harmless and only affected himself, simply resulting in a shaking of my head and thinking yeah whatever. But this was just a step to far IMO, just plain wrong.
LOL, and i would quite happily say this to his face but i doubt his highness would take my call, and probably not many other peoples that night either which is why they had to resort to public statements on their various platforms. Its not like they’re whispering behind his back or posting anonymously they’re quite happily putting their name against their statements or feelings, so its the next best thing to saying it to him personally, probably all they could manage at the time.
And in any case, he wasn’t “correct” (in reply to another poster). It was his opinion, and he is entitled to it, just as the judges or the public or whoever picked the winner were entitled to theirs. It was their prize to give out and they gave it to who the felt deserved it. He was completely within his rights to have a different, private opinion but unlike what he may think he is not some higher being who’s opinion is more important or more “correct” than everyone elses and he had no right whatsoever to do what he did.
And to be fair i actually quite like some of his music. Just not him or his ego.

What?? I’m lost. In my opinon, also, he WAS correct. Beyonce’s video was the best of the nominees. His opinion, in my opinion, was correct. 
Just not his actions. I’ve met him at work a time or two, and he was a douche every time. In the end, it doesn’t matter either way.

he’s a tool. Did the same when Justice won the EMA’s for best video a few years ago. Going on about his video being more expensive and (therefor) better. Then again, there are numerous “freestyle” videos of him on youtube making him loose all serious credibility anyway, so why bother…
