kaoss pad and headphone reccomendations

I’m thinking about getting a Kaoss mini pad 2, but my mixer doesn’t have an effects send on it, so everything will go through the master…will that work ok or not? or would i be better off sticking with my 0nboard effects. Also I’m looking at headphones, which should I get? Pioneer HDJ-500 DJ or Denon DN-HP700

you should save more and get better headphones than those two for example HDJ-1500 or a decent pair of sennheisers
