kaoss pad as midi device will not register!
Im trying to use my KP2 as a midi controller purely for FX, but it wont even register as connected into my computer, ive connecteda midi - usb cable but whenever i go to custom map in traktor, i touch the pad and nothing registers.
Also, any idea how to get the KP into dumb mode?

what is dumb mode?
the MIDI-USB cable should have some kind of USB ID like “USB Audio Device” which you’ll have to activate in the ableton preferences in order for it to work.
the kp2 should send out midi CCs from the pad by default, if not you’ll have to configure it. you can find the manual on the korg website.
// edit: why not use the kp2 as an fx unit? it can do stuff that’s hard to reproduce in live.
Like how you can turn the APC40 into individual buttons instead of pre-configured to ableton.
And also im trying to use this in traktor.
