Kontrol S2 with Traktor Pro 1.x.x?

Hi guys, just brought an S2 taking advantage of the Feb offer and just wondered if there is a way to use the S2 with earlier versions on Traktor?

My laptop is pretty old and doesn’t like TP2 so need to use the version of Traktor i was perviously using until i get a new laptop.

any ideas anyone? really need to be able to use this until a new laptop arrives.

TP2 at the moment is maxing out on cpu redlining even with just one track playing, it never did this in TP 1.2.7

specs of my laptop:

intel pentium dual core T2080 1.74GHz
2GB ram
running windows 7 ultimate

would doing a seperate partition running xp make much difference to TP2?

ran a batch file taking out unwanted services in win 7 which did improve things a little but there is still a massive strain on cpu

any ideas anyone?

solved - it appears it was a bug using multicore processing in TP2, turned this off and its sweet now

sorry noone ever helped on this - i’m in the same positoin sort of - want to test it out on tpro 1 before registering tpro 2 - incase i need to take it back, the store is sticky about returns for equipment with software.

Try it with the demo. before you activate you get a 30min working copy. Open it again if you need further testing. The S2 will work with T1 but only in MIDI mode, you’ll have to make the map yourself.

I’m having the same probs as you and have got a basic mapping on the go. I will post it once I’ve got rid of some of the bugs as a work in progress as any help and comments would be helpful and appreciated!
