Kontrol X1 and Maschine with S4

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has tried messing with the x1 mapping to allow it to control the loop recorder and what not. I just thought it’d be great when you’re travelling and you don’t want to bust out your S4 so just bring out the trusty X1 and start making loops. Also is anyone aware if the Maschine Tsi. for TPro works with S4?

X1 mapping. it doesn’t cover the loop recorder, but it does control the sample deck volume/filter and FX baks 3 and 4. He’s also left some knobs and buttons open for you to do whatever you want with.

I don’t think the Tpro tsi for Maschine will work with S4 though.

Hey Photojojo, have you tried this mapping with the S4 & X1?? For some reason i cant get it to work for me!! I followed the directions per the website, but no luck…

Yeah, works great. You need to make sure you disable the stock X1 mapping by putting na in the in/out ports and make the S4 X1 mapping the active one by putting the X1 in the correct ports.

I left the ports as they were in the TSI file download!!! So now im really confused… (sorry) dont you just import the file and everything is already set up?

ok… i went back and cked my setting, they seem to be correct for what i can tell (which probably isnt much)
Device: S4-FX3+4-Traktor.kon
Port In- n/a:KX1 Port Out- n/a:KX1

is this correct?

The in/out ports when I select the X1 in my controller manager say KX1. What are the options when you click on the in/out port drop down boxes?

I get the default with the downloaded tsi file, which I stated above, and the other I get says “none”!!! I’m so lost. Lol

Post a screen shot of your controller manger maybe a couple with the different drop downs showing

I can’t see anything in that one. Can you do higher resolution? Do one with all of your options in the drop down where you select your controller visible and one with all the options in the in/out menu visible. Used the timed screen capture option in Grab, select the drop down and just let the mouse sit there till it takes the picture.
