Kontrol X1 - IG and midi mode problem?

so here what is my problem, I use my Kontrol X1 bottom buttons as midifighter and i want to assign the other buttons and knobs on top row for like eq kills and eq for the buttons and knobs on top. They do crazy things with the ig mapping like, some buttons takes off the lows like instant and does nothing back, how can I map my x1’s top row without screwing up the midi fighter mapping?

is it possible to map different things to the top row?

Do you mean the top where the knobs are? If so just add in what you want to those. If you mean the top row of the 4X4 grid you’ll probably have to go into midi mode or use shift to do that.
