KRK RP6 + 10s vs Yamaha HS80M
I currently use the KRK RP6 G2s for production. Which one would be more beneficial:
Get a 10s sub
-If I get the sub I’ll be able to tap into the sub bass frequencies but I know the Rockit series are not exactly natural sounding.
Sell RP6 and get Yamaha HS80M
-If I get the HS80M I’ll miss the sub bass, but I’ll be truer to a natural sound.

The KRK’s are poo, Yamaha HS80M’s are by far the better choice. Might even want to think about CMS 40’s though as they are some of the best I’ve heard
The yamahas seem to be the industrial preference over the krks. But I like my krks because of the RCA inputs. Yamahas are only xlrs. But then again, if u own a studio and are serious into music production, u would probably go for xlrs over rcas.
why not HS80M with their matched sub? I think it’s the HS10W or something?
The HS10w actually sells for a bit cheaper than the 10s sub too at around $349.
Yamaha all the way! got a pair last month & finally i can enjoy my Fantom G sounds in all it’s glory.
I describe the sound as bright & clear, the bass is powerful.
Feels sturdy & heavy.
