Last night
Hi everyone last night i had a gig at the local club in DC.
i was using my vci 300 running serato and two pioners
so here was a thing i played for 40 min and my controls froze but song kept playing so it made easier for me to trasfer them to the cdj’s
I got Macbook Pro II generation with 2gb ram + vci 300 running with additional power supply, power filter, fome pad, golden platted usb cable 6inch. moster cable RCA’s + i did use the right usb input for the vci on my macbook, since i heard that there could be some issues if u use the left one.
Everything possible to prevent from freezing i did, and most of the time it did not freeze on me for long mixes.
But this time it freaking did
People help any suggestions?
is the USB cable a USB 2.0 cable ? - you can find out by looking on the connector and it will say “Hi-Speed” on it
Edit: See this post we made on the blog - Gosh darn those pesky cables - DJ TechTools
Bento
yes it is a high speed certified cable 2.0 from BELKIN golden plated 6 in
wow guys today morning i connected my vci and serato does not recognize it at all
message AUDIO CONNECTION ERROR
tO FERRIFY ONE THING THAT I UPDATED MY MAC OS VERSION THIS MORNING
AND NOW SERATO DOES NOT RECOGNIZE IT
ALSO I TRYED SEVERAL USB CABLES NOTHING
Sounds like you may have a broke VCI, I would try it on another computer first though.
you updated to 10.5.7? maybe check the changelog to see if anything messed with usb drivers. i’ll check into it as well and see if i can’t find anything.
so i looked around a bit and it seems a few people have had issues with usb connections since the update.
was the vci connected to your computer while you updated? this seems to be the main culprit.
yeah i apdated 10.5.7
and i found the solution with new version it is important to turn VCI first and than load the ITCH.
It seems working now
But i am still worried about the earlier freeze during the gig before the OS upgrade
