Lataency With S4 Sound Card High
Hi
Im getting a best latency of 15.4 with TSP2 on my S4 soundcard using a Dell XPS using 96000hz. Increasing the processing speed is the only way to reduce the latency. 15.4ms appears a bit poor really though.
Ive tried loads of things to improve it but keep getting nasty crackles and pop, BTW Im using the 3.0 driver for the S4

Nice program, it says that it should be able to handle real time audio without any drop outs.

Cheers, it seems pretty simple, Im struggling a bit with getting devcon to work, and have tried reducing the process buffer down to 256, which gives me a latency of 7.7 which is a bit better
There is a link to the tutorial on the first post for devcon 
But if you don’t use it, it’s ok, I think it won’t make a big difference
Thanks for the help, it seems to be working a lot better, I played around with the frames and reduced the original setting by half it appears to work well now with around 7ms latency… which is acceptable.

I’ve heard that if the latency is under the 10ms, you’re safe!
Also, try to quit every program that’s running when in a gig! It will improve your latency!
7ms is pretty good imo.
Right, I tried gigging with the S4 last night and was getting sound drop outs, I had the wifi on my laptop switched off… whats the best solution, raise the latency some more?

if it doesn’t work, consider of making a dual boot and only put traktor on the second OS
